Behavioral Neuroscience Group

P.I.: Yukio Ichitani, Ph.D., Professor, Faculty of Human Sciences

The goal of this research group is to clarify the biological and neural mechanisms of various animal behaviors and psychological functions.  We especially focus on the neural mechanism of memory and learning, and for this purpose we carry out behavioral neuroscience and behavioral pharmacology studies using rats.  We also evaluate various psychoactive drugs using animal models of psychiatric and psychological diseases.

This group is composed of faculty members, institutional researcher, and graduate students in Counseling field of Life-span Developmental Science to establish the career study base and contribute to social practice, which has conducted specific activities since 2011.
