Northeast Normal University, Centerforideological political education, Lecturer \u00a0 WUXIN<\/strong><\/p>\n Title\uff1aResearch on value education in Japanese Schools<\/strong><\/p>\n I study value education while working at the Center for Ideological and Political Education (IPEC) in Northeast Normal University. The center engages in long-standing research on the current status of value education in the world as a cooperative organization of the World Values Survey Association (WVSA) in China.<\/p>\n In addition, the Center especially has a long-term collaboration project for many years with the moral Education Laboratory of Yoshida Takeo, Faculty of Human Sciences in University of Tsukuba. Professor Yoshida is not only an honorary professor of Northeast Normal University, but also a member of the \u201cDisciplinary Innovation and Research Base for Moral Education to Adolescents\u201d, which was established by State Administrator of Foreign Affairs and a Minister of Education of the People\u2019s Republic of China. He has been invited to Northeast Normal University many times, and gives lectures and conducts joint research on moral education and value education in Japan.<\/p>\n Under the guidance of Professor Yoshida, I began to study “value education in Japanese schools.” In fact, I attend to Professor Yoshida’s class on moral education, and participated in the “ Learning and Primary Education Workshop ” held at the University of Tsukuba Elementary School in February2020. And then, I learned about the moral education policy in Japan, the actual situation of textbook certification, the fundamental philosophy and specific methods of moral education. In addition, I was able to participate in weekly seminars in the laboratory. There, I studied with graduate students and elementary and junior high school teachers based onthe basic theory, contents and methods of moral education. I was greatly inspired by their sincere attitude to learning and research and deep thoughts on their work.<\/p>\n Along with these activities, I started research on world value education with a Chinese research team and collected materials mainly on “value education in Japanese schools”.Then, as I organized the contents of the “The Courses of Study,” and their commentary books, and the latest educational research report on value education, I became interested in Japanese Labor education.<\/p>\n Labor education has been one of the important themes of educational activities since the establishment of the People’s Republic of China, and is also an important content of the Japanese education system. The understanding of Japanese labor has a long history. In the process of development toward modernization, through comparison with Western views of labor, reflection on and awareness of Japanese labor views were formed. In addition, the viewpoint of labor education includes not only occupational experience, but also experience activities that mainly include life and cultural experiences, nature experiences and social experiences, that are integrated with subjects such as social studies, home economics, and morals. That is to say, in my understanding, the current labor education in Japan mainly focuses on career education, aims to promote individual social independence and professional independence, develops basic vocational skills and working attitudes, while being in the center on all the educational activities (especially special activities).<\/p>\n Japan’s Constitution states that labor, education, and tax payments are the basic obligations of the people, and that all people have the right to work and have the obligation to work. After World War II, Japan has established an educational policy to develop knowledge, moral, and body in harmony, and has made it an important goal of education to acquire an attitude to respect labor. It has been realized that Japan’s unique view of labor education not only promotes the improvement of the people’s qualities as a whole, but also plays a major role in the national economic advance.<\/p>\n In future research, based on the experiences I have learned while staying in Japan, I will summarize the process of school education, family education, social experience, and the goals and characteristics of the main contents of labor education in Japan. By examining Japan’s view of labor and educational activities, I hope to gain valuable suggestions for value education and human resource development in China.<\/p>\n Currently, as a contract researcher at the University of Tsukuba Human Studies, I have been conducting research from March 2019 to March 2020, and that period will soon be over. \u00a0I would like to thank the people involved
